“Soltanto dopo moltissimi anni, ormai adulta, mi sono resa conto che la mia passione per la natura e per i giardini mi era stata trasmessa da mio nonno, che, fin da quando ero bambina, mi teneva con lui quando si occupava del proprio giardino o di quelli di amici e conoscenti. In realtà mi annoiavo un po’ e Il tempo mi sembrava interminabile: una volta, esasperata, approfittando di un suo breve spostamento, tolsi velocemente tutti i bulbi di tulipani che aveva appena messi a dimora con cura in una grande aiuola! Ma quei momenti che allora mi sembravano soltanto un ingiusto allontanamento dai miei giochi, mi sono rimasti dentro, sono cresciuti proprio come una pianticella e oggi devo essere riconoscente a mio nonno, che ha coltivato in me la sensibilità e la tenerezza per le piante e per il paesaggio.”
Il giardino è un bene troppo prezioso per essere lasciato al caso. Cerco quindi strade per migliorare e valorizzare lo spazio affidatomi, con la scelta di una suddivisione degli spazi ed un uso delle piante e dei materiali attenta, basata sull’esperienza pratica , sempre ovviamente nel rispetto delle aspettative , budgets e scadenze dei clienti. L’inserimento del giardino nel paesaggio è la mia preoccupazione principale. La natura è già un giardino stupendo disegnato da una mano molto più grande, a noi in realtà non resta che “disciplinare” ciò che già si presenta al nostro sguardo secondo la nostra sensibilità e percezione. Sento come mio compito osservare gli spazi del futuro giardino con estrema attenzione, alla ricerca di stimoli e ispirazioni, percorrendoli con tutti i sensi, studiandone l’orientamento, la posizione, i venti, le correnti, i micro-climi, captandone le mille variazioni nelle diverse ore del giorno e delle stagioni. Fino a raggiungere una COMPRENSIONE del luogo, che non è mera osservazione né semplice conoscenza. Non sempre purtroppo è possibile fare tutto ciò, poiché non si tratta del ” mio giardino” ma di quelli di clienti che hanno esigenze di scadenze ed altro. Tuttavia è mio desiderio con queste poche righe far capire che nel mio lavoro dedico tutta l’attenzione e l’impegno per giungere al progetto appropriato per lo spazio affidatomi, come se fosse il mio giardino. Non posso farne a meno!
“Only after many years, now an adult, I realized that my passion for the nature and for the gardens I had been sent to me by my grandfather, who, ever since I was a child, he kept me with him when he took care of his garden or those of friends and acquaintances. Actually I was bored a little ‘and the time seemed endless: once, exasperated, taking advantage of his short trip, quickly took off all the tulip bulbs that had just planted carefully in a large flower bed! But those moments that then seemed only an unfair departure from my games, I have stayed inside, they were up just like a tender shoot, and now I have to be grateful to my grandfather, who has cultivated in me the feeling and tenderness for the plants and the landscape.”
The garden is an asset too valuable to be left to chance. I try so ways to improve and enhance the space entrusted to me, with the choice of an allocation of the spaces and the use of plants and materials carefully, based on practical experience, of course, always in compliance with the expectations, budgets and customer deadlines. The inclusion of the garden in the landscape is my main concern. Nature is already an amazing drawn from a much lbigger hand, we actually just have to “discipline ” the garden what already looks to our eyes, according to our sensitivity and perception. I perceive as my duty the observation of the future garden space very carefully, looking for ideas and inspirations, following them with all your senses, studying the orientation, position, winds, currents, micro-climates and understand their thousand variations at different times of day and seasons. Until an UNDERSTANDING of the place, which is not mere observation or simple knowledge. Unfortunately it is not always possible to do everything, because it is not the “my garden” but of those customers who need to deadlines and more. However, it is my desire with these few lines to explain that in my work I dedicate all the attention and commitment to reach the appropriate project for the entrusted space, as if it were my garden. I can not do without!
